i'm a spacebound rocket ship & your heart's the moon

[Spacebound - Eminem]

Big apologies for not posting in over a week! My laptop charger got blown out by a dodgy extension socket thing in the mothers room, so I'm still waiting for a new one to arrive. I'm posting this from the main house computer, which I absolutely hate, but it must be done!

I've been home ill for the last few days, which is good because these days I'm so fed up of school, and simply cant be arsed, but bad because of all the work I'm gonna need to catch up on. Plus, tomorrow is result's day from the AS exams I did in January, so I'm not looking forward to seeing a big fat FAIL on the paper :( To make things worse, tomorrow is also the 4 year anniversary of my friends death (read about it here), so everyone's gonna be a bit bummed out :(

but on a lighter note, here's what I wore to sixth form on Monday. I'm not gonna do regular sixth form outfit posts, kuz I tend to wear the same thing, just swapping blazers & shirts.

[Blazer - H&M; Shirt - boohoo.com; Skirt - from the mother]
Here's a closeup of the shirt. It's such a beautiful shirt, floral design with pearl buttons. The only flaw is that it's not very well made - the button holes weren't closed up properly, so all the silky material is loose, causing the buttons to become stuck in them, I've lost so many buttons on it :(

My skirt is a mini pleated denim skirt that the mother bought for me a while ago. I'm not sure if it was designed to be high waisted, but that's the only way I can wear it, plus I think it looks so much better :)
And to finish the outfit out, I teamed it with my Vans that I got from Macy's in New York back in the summer of 2007. I love these shoes so much, but they have seen better days! I plan on keeping them until they actually fall apart (getting close to that time!)

That's all for now, I'll try to do a post summing up my favourite picks from all the Fashion Weeks (including Kate Moss & the cigarette!) some time this week!

pinch, punch, first day of the month

hurrah it's March! I hope you've all had a good first day of the month, and you're not sore from pinches & punches, or slaps & kicks! (Yes I'm 16, and yes me & my friends still do the whole 'pinch, punch, first day of the month' and 'slap, quick, for being so quick' :p)

just a quick outfit outfit post from what i wore to my sixth form yesterday. the dress code for my sixth form is supposed to be smart - matching blazer & skirt/trousers and a sensible shirt, but no-one really sticks to that. I wore my H&M blazer that I wear pretty much everyday, just because it's so comfortable and easy to put on ti smarten up any casual top. The plaid shirt i bought on Saturday from New Look, and I love it! I'm a sucker for a decent checked/plaid shirt, and I couldn't resist getting this for a measly £5 :') It's really long though, I had to make the shirt a bit baggy over my skirt, otherwise it would be hanging out from the bottom of my skirt! I might try it out over some leggings next time I wear it :)

[Blazer - H&M; Plaid Shirt - New Look; Skirt - Primark; Brogues - New Look; Necklace - Primark?]

I got this skirt back in like 2008 or so when I needed to quickly buy a skirt for a party, and (similar to the blazer), it's one of the staple items of my sixth form 'uniform'. It has a zip that runs all down the front of the skirt (which can be pulled down, as i have experienced from my lovely friends), but I wear it back to front so that the zip is at the back, simply because the zip causes a weird bulge to appear at the front....

My brogues are also from New Look, and have lasted me surprisingly long, considering how much I wear them! They are lovely and very practical, I would recommend these pair if you haven't got some!

That's all for today, off to watch Cougar Town (which is absolutely AMAZING) and attempt to do my French work :)
Good day to you all!

sleeping with my eyes wide shut

Eyes Wide Shut - JLS

So I promised you guys an outfit post to kick off my return, so here goes :)
I didn't really do much today, just popped into town to see if there was anything in the shops.

I went for a casual look today, as it was cold & raining, but not cold enough that I needed to don a huge jacket to keep me warm, or a scarf.

[Blazer - charity shop; Top - River Island; Black Vest - Primark; Jeans - New Look; Bag - Accessorize; Necklace - ?]

I'm not really a trousers kinda girl, but when I do wear trousers, they must be skinny jeans. It sucks for me because I think my legs are quite short, so I can never find a decent pair of trousers that fit well, so I tend to stick to skinnies as the length doesn't have much of an effect on the look, compared to straight leg trousers. I got these jeans from New Look earlier in the week, and I fell in love straight away. The buttons on the back gave them a very grungy look, which could make any outfit more edgier.

It felt kinda weird taking pictures of my outfits again, took me forever to find a good position for the self timer :')

How was everyone's day?

xx

yeah baby, do that dance, it's the last dance you'll ever get the chance to do.

[Same Song & Dance - Eminem]

The weather over the last few days has been amazinggg, even though it's hard to get to sleep when you're sweating like a bitch. None the less, it's been pretty awesome. (Just I wrote that it started to rain :\ though it's still really hot.)
But anyways, on Saturday my brother had 2 parties to go to (he's learning to party hard at the tender age of 8 :p), and I had to pick him up from one and drop him at another. I had like, 2 hours to kill before needing to pick him up again, so I decided to get the bus down to Bluewater and do a bit of shopping ^_^
This is what I wore on Saturday (: (The first time I've had my legs out bare since I went to america in 2007! I felt kind of emotional stepping out of the house without any tights on :o!)

[Jacket - New Look; Top - Dorothy Perkins; Skirt - New Look; Necklace thing - Primark; Bag - Peacocks; Plimsoll things - Primark]

When I got to Bluewater, I just went window shopping, until I got to New Look, where I wanted to buy a Giles bikini for when I go to Spain in August, but unfortunately for me, they were all sold out.
So instead, I bought this strapless jumpsuit:

With it on:

I got it in a size 8, but it took a while for me to get it over my boobs, so I may have to exchange it for a size 10 :\

I also got this dress from New Look:

Photos do not do this dress justice at all! I have so many ideas about how I plan on wearing this dress, I loveeee it :')

Anyways, that's all for now!
I have my Chemistry GCSE on Wednesday, so I must revise for that (Y)

Hope everyone's had a good Monday :)

P.S. I'm thinking of doing a vlog.. What do you guys think? :)

je suis desole.

I would love to say that I've been extremely busy, that I've not had a second to spare in the last week, but unfortunately I cannot. There's no point lying, the truth is that, well, I just lacked inspiration to write anything.

And as much as I'd also like to say that so much has happened, that I've got sooo much to tell you all, frankly, there is nothing to tell. Like, at all. I've become a very boring person these days to be completely honest, I do nothing but sleep, eat and revise. Sigh.

However, I got my hair cut again on Friday. The last time I got it cut was the 3rd June 2008, the day before my birthday, and I got it cut into a sort of pixie cut thing. But yeah, that grew out, and it became far too long for my liking. So on Friday, I went to get it cut. This time, its far more choppy, with a fringe that's sort-of-a-full-fringe-but-not-really-at-the-same-time sort of thing :) And the back of my head is like, shaved. Not like bald or anything, but it's just like reallyyy short :) I love getting my hair shaved, I love the feeling of it on my head.. Weird, I know ^^ Anyways, enough rambling, you can see for yourself :)

One friend says I look like a little french boy.. Another says it's very Zachary Quinto in Star Trek (Spock), and then my mum reckons it's very Halle Berry-esque.. What do you think?

Anyways, random outfit from like weeeeks ago.

[Jumper - Disneyland Paris; Skirt - New Look]

My obsession with skirts is growing.

I hope everyone's had a good week so far :)

[Minnie Mouse Top - Disneyland Paris; Vest (underneath) - ELLE magazine; Skirt - Peacocks; Tights - Primark; Beads - Claire's]

That was what I wore on Saturday to see Hannah Montana The Movie, which is actually really good! It's a perfect 'feel good' movie :) (with amazingly gorgeous guys!). Also, my second pose was me being cool. Obviously.

Oooh, and I just booked me and my friends tickets for the Clothes Show London! Is anyone else going? I'll be there 30th May ;)

Anyways, that's all for now I spose. I promise to resume more regular postings as of now :D

part deux.

TUESDAY

Despite being piled up to my head in revision for my upcoming exams, i decided to ditch it and go out with my best budss :D (well 2 of them, i have like 6 best friends). First we went down to Oxford Street, kuz my friend wanted to buy a bag from the big Topshop, and we spent like 20mins aimlessly wandering about.
However, in these 20minutes, I had my photo taken by a fashion website cause they liked my outfit! More details about this later ;)
Anyways, we got back on the train and went to Buckingham Palace where we pretended to be tourists aha, good times :p

But erm yeah, i guess you're wondering about the mysterious outfit that got my photo taken? Here goesss:

this is a longting starrrr.

[Sorry You Are - Tinchy Stryder & Chipmunk]

The title of this post is highly relevant, as this may turn out to be quite long, considering how long i've not posted (okay it's been like 4 days, but that is pretty damn long!). However, i do not wish to give your eyes repetitive strain injury, so i'll break each day down into different posts. Starting with....

MONDAY.

Monday was the day of my cousin's 1st birthday (she's not really my cousin, she's more of a family friend but we're pretty close so i call her my cousin anyways), so we went round her house for a little shindig :)
It was pretty grooovy, i got abit drunk from mixing martini in my coke without no-one realising ahah :p
But erm yeah, this is what i wore:

[Blue sleeveless cardigan thingy - New Look; JLS top (underneath) - the JLS website; Wet look leggings - Random shop; Quilted chain bag - Dorothy Perkins]

I teamed this with a pair of not-too-high heels ;)

dressed in black, i'm sure she's on crack

[I don't know, it randomly came into my head. I possible could've made it up, or it might actually be a song]

So today is Easter Sunday, the day when "Jesus" rose from the dead. (I put Jesus in inverted commas because i'm agnostic, so i don't really consider this as a religious day, it's a day when you can chillax and eat lots of chocolate :) but hey, that's just my opinion :D)
So basically i went out with my family for easter celebrations, and it gave me an excuse to dress up :) I wore the new dress i got from New Look. I've now managed to wear all my new items, excluding the Thumper tee in the space of a few days, woo :D
I wore it with my mum's blazer and my black&white lace up heeled brogues.

I then thought it needed a bit of colour, just to edge it up abit.

So how have you spent today? :)

would you lie with me and just forget the world

[Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol]

Okay, so today was day two of my journalism course. It was sooo good! I never realised that the woman that was helping to co-ordinate it, Rowenna Davis, was a professional freelance journalist, and she writes for the Times, and the Guardian.
So today we interviewed some young people about what they thought about shops having mosquito devices installed, and filmed it. I was appointed as the photographer for it, as i'm the only one out of the other kids who knows how to take professional photos and stuff.
Anyways, Rowenna used her writing contacts to get us an over-the-phone interview with Sir Al Aynsley Green; the Child Commissioner of the UK!. This was also filmed, and I got to speak to him :) Now that we've had the opinion of someone with alot of authority, it's more than likely that our documentary will be broadcast on national TV :D But i'll let you know more about it, as tomorrow is the final day of the course :)

Swiftly moving on, here is what i wore today. I told you in the last post, i'd be wearing my new purchases soon, so here goes ^^ :

the echoes fill your soul

[Scream - High School Musical 3]

Times like these are why I absolutely hate school. In just under 4 weeks, I have my end of years and mock exams. About 16 papers in the space of a week, it's ridiculous.
-cries- So this means that over the next 2/3 weeks, I'll have hardly any time for blogging, as the pile of revision in my room is constantly rising higher and higher each day.

Swiftly moving on, I was rooting through my mum's drawers earlier today and I came across these graphic leggings! Now, i have no idea why my mum would own a pair of leggings like these, but she said she's had them for yearsss but never worn them, so I decided to take them off her hands (or err.. take them off her legs?) :) I love the bold design of them, the bright colours will make them stand out and they could easily liven up any outfit.

What d'ya guys think? What would you wear them with?

just the two of us

[Two Of Us - Eminem]

Today, me and my friends had planned to go and see Lesbian Vampire Killers at the cinema, but they cancelled last minute. So i ended up staying at home and catching up on Hollyoaks + Waterloo Road, but hey, i'm not complaining :D
Here is what i had planned on wearing out:

[Top - Mango; Skirt - River Island via ebay; Blue leggings - ?; Converses - Office]

I managed to win the skirt on ebay! It's so gorgeous, the material is so soft and it also has a little zip across the back.

For those living in the UK, the clocks go forward tomorrow morning! Woo :)

but all i really want is to hold you tight

[Sometimes - Britney Spears]

I was planning on posting last night, but got distracted by seeing Zac Efron's gorgeouss face on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway :o I'm seeing Zac this week, at the 17 Again premiere (his new film, also starring Matthew Perry, aka Chandler from Friends), and i will actually pass out if he even looks at me. However, i managed to compose myself when i actually HAD A CONVERSATION WITH HIM at the HSM2 signing in 2007, so hopefully it will all be okay :)

Swiftly moving on, the harem trousers i ordered came on Friday! I look recieving packages in the post aha, and these are gorgeous :) They are so comfortable to wear, and though the material is quite thin, they are so warm! (Soz for the crappy quality, i'm still working on getting a new camera):
Photobucket

On Saturday morning, i got a New Look magazine :) Because i'm a member of the mylook website, they sent me the latest edition of Most Wanted :) Filled with fashion goodies from New Look, and inspiring outfits to burst your way into Spring, it was a lovely read, including an interview with the gorgeous Alexa Chung. Also comes with a 20% discount card, either to use online or in store, which was pretty gravy :D
Photobucket

Today is Mother's Day in the UK (i dunno how it works in other countries), so me, my mum and my two little brothers went to Nando's for a meal :) Nando's is actually amazing, i swear i'm in love <3 And the weather was perfect today, but apparently tomorrow's gonna rain so that sucks big time :\ Here's what i wore:

[Jumper - Topshop; Grey vest (underneath) - Primark; Skirt - Peacocks; Tights - New Look; Studded Gladiator Heels - Peacocks; Bracelets - Random places]

Hope you've all had a good weekend, my fellow bloggers :)

[Top - Next; Leggings - Random shop; Cardigan - New Look; Blazer - New Look; Beads - Claires; Necklace - Primark; Bracelets - Random]

Nothing spectacular about this outfit, it's just something i threw on to go out to my cousin's house. She found out what secondary school she was going to this week, and she's coming to my school! (I go to a grammar school, which just happens to be number 1 in Bexley :p)

I cannot think of anything to say. Sigh.
OH.
I've signed up for the Michael Jackson presale tickets.
I need to see him.
No lie.

my heart swells with hatred in your name

[Black And Blue - Bring Me The Horizon] (they're my favourite band, ever)

I've been lacking in posts this week, and i apologize. I've just realised that I've apologized in the last couple of posts, I don't know why, it's just in my nature to apologise consistently. Also, is apologize spelt with an s or a z? Or is it just one of those things, like recognise/recognize? I've been pondering on these for ages now, so if someone can settle that for me then that would be great :D

Last night, i had a school trip to see Lord Of The Flies in a theatre by London Bridge. Lord Of The Flies is the book I'll be answering about in my english GCSE'S, and since i took drama for GCSE, i'll also be comparing the stage production of LOTF to another stage play. It was actually really good, compared to the book. For anyone who may not have had the chance to read it (luckily for you!), i'll sum it up in a few points:
- A group of young boys (between the ages of 6ish-13ish) have their plane crash on an island, while being evacuated from the war, and this island has no adults
- There's a fat kid called Piggy that pretty much gets bullied by almost everyone because he's fat with glasses and asthma, and he's the only one that talks much sense
- They choose a boy called Ralph to be the Chief of the island
- There's another boy called Jack who's the senior choir boy of a posh school, and he wanted to be the leader, but ends up being in charge of hunting
- They start a fire to create smoke, which they hope would be seen by someone so they can get rescued, but a little boy ends up being killed by the fire (the book tells us this indirectly)
- There's a boy called Simon who's the more philosophical boy of the group, who likes going into the middle of the forest to look at flowers and stuff, and he suffers from epilepsy and it constantly having fits
- Jack and Roger (a furtive boy who keeps to himself) go crazy with hunting and killing pigs
- They end up killing Simon (mistakenly.. sort of)
- The group splits, so Piggy, Ralph and some others are on one side of the island, and Jack, Roger and the others are on another side of the island
- Piggy gets killed
- They get rescued.

IT'S BORING. Except when they kill Simon, that's kind of exciting xD Anyways, the play was soo good! And all the guys were gorgeous and TOPLESS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE THING. So it was an hour and a half of watching gorgeous men run about like kids half naked. YUM.
This is what i wore :) :

Photobucket
Photobucket
[Blouse - New Look; Skirt - American Apparel; Black Cardigan - New Look; Grey Tights - Primark; Heart Necklace - Dorothy Perkins; Bracelets - Various places]

I bought the top and cardigan in the New Look sale earlier in the week, and I wore the AA skirt high waisted :) I wore my gladiator studded heels for the first half of the night, but changed them to my primark plimsolls after, purely for comfort reasons :)

Apologies (once again) for the longness of this!
